Citizens' Charter : Service Standards for AC/TSO offices

Government of Tamil Nadu have laid down the following Citizen's Charter for various services provided by the Zonal and Taluk Supply Offices across the State :

  • The question might arise whether officials are accountable for this charter. Every official in these offices are duty-bound to pass orders on applications in each of the categories below within the time limit concerned, ie. the AC/TSO shall either accept or reject the application and send a post card to the applicant to that effect.

  • In case, AC/ TSOs do not pass orders within the time limits below, even after the applicant has submitted the application with all necessary documents, they are liable for disciplinary action. For this, they may send a letter or email with proof of such application (acknowledgement slip copy)

  • The charter also means that officials providing public services in our offices have to be patient, courteous and honest in their interactions with citizens:
