CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY CELEBRATIONS AT KANCHIPURAM
Consumer Rights Day was celebrated at Kanchipuram on 11.01.2008. Hon’ble Food Minister
Thiru.E.V. Velu and Hon’ble Labour Welfare Minister Thiru. T.M. Anbarasan were the Chief Guests of this function. The function was organized by Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department. Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection
Thiru.K. Rajaraman, IAS delivered speech on implementation of Consumer Welfare Schemes. Main scenario of this function was launching a exclusive website for consumer protection. The Voluntary Consumer Organisations of various corners of the State, Consumer Clubs Members of Kanchipuram District, Students of various schools of Kanchipuram District, Members from Self Help Groups and General Public were participated in large number.
