C) State level Consumer Rights Day programme

State level Consumer Rights Day programmed was celebrated as a full day program at Kalaivanar Arangam, Chennai by Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department. In the morning session Chennai Collector was participated as a Chief guest and inaugurated this function. Consumer Club members of various schools in Chennai delivered their programs about consumer awareness. State level Voluntary Consumer Organisations, Self Help Groups and General Public were participated in this whole day function.

In the afternoon, Hon’ble Electrictiy Minister and Hon’ble Food Minister of Tamil Nadu  were participated and distributed the Best Consumer Clubs awards to the district consumer clubs. The Highlight of this day program was "Nugarvor Kaiyedu" of Consumer Awareness which consists of 10 books had been released by the Hon’ble Electricity Minister and received by the Hon’ble Food Minister.
